If an item disappears from your shopping cart or your saved item and is no longer visible on our site, it has likely sold out during the checkout process. This can occur with our One-of-a-kind pieces since there is only one singular piece. Can I receive a price adjustment if an item I recently purchased is now on sale?
Currently, we do not offer price adjustments on previous purchases.
Can I return sale items?
Yes, sale items may be returned within 30 days of receiving your order. Please ensure that all pieces are unused and in their original condition, with tags attached and packaging intact.
What if I receive a damaged piece?
If you believe a piece of jewellery in your order is damaged or faulty, please contact info@monies.com with your order number and photographs showing the issue.
Do you include gift packaging?
Yes, all Monies pieces come with pouch bags and jewellery box. If you need any special request or gift notes, please add a note at checkout or contact info@monies.com with your order number.
ORDER
When will I receive my order confirmation?
Once your order has been approved, you will receive a confirmation email to the email address provided during checkout.
To view your order details and history, sign in to your shop account, go to "My Profile", and select "Orders".
Can I cancel my order?
Orders can be canceled if they have not yet been prepared for shipment. Once an order has entered the shipping process, cancellation is no longer possible. If you no longer wish to keep your order upon delivery, you may return it by following our instructions.
Can I remove or change a piece in my order?
Once an order is placed and has been prepared for shipment, it is no longer possible to modify and make changes. However, if the order has not yet been processed, you may request a modification with our customer service info@monies.com.
SHIPPING & DELIVERY
Will I have to pay additional duties or taxes on my order outside the EU?
Yes, for all non-EU orders local taxes and duties are not included in the listed product prices.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Monies ship worldwide. Please contact us if you have issues with checkout or shipping for your country. Please note we are unable to ship to Russia, Ukraine, Israel, Palestina and Belarus.
What is the processing time before my order is shipped?
Orders are processed at our warehouse within 48 hours of being placed on weekdays. Once your order has been processed and picked up by the carrier, you will receive a shipping confirmation email. Please note that the tracking link may take up to 24 hours to activate.
How long does shipping take?
During checkout, you will have the option to choose our free standard or, if available to your destination, paid express shipping. You can also see an estimate for delivery on the product page.
Will I receive confirmation with tracking?
Once your shipment has left our studio you will receive a tracking no. You can also track your order by logging into your Monies shop account and finding the relevant order.
Is it possible to change my delivery address?
If your order has not yet been processed by our studio, we may be able to update the shipping address. Once processing has begun, shipping address modifications are no longer possible.
Do you refund shipping?
Only for EU withdrawals within 14 days we refund the cost of our least-expensive standard delivery (paid express upgrades excluded). After day 14 (our 30-day policy), standard shipping isn’t refunded.
TAX & DUTY
Are taxes and duties included in the product prices?
yes, we ship worldwide with Delivered Duty Paid. Duties and customs fees are included in the price you see at checkout. There are no additional charges on delivery.
Can I claim taxes on online orders?
Tax claims are only available for boutique and studio purchases. This service is not offered for online orders.
Can I get my tax and duties reimbursed if I return the order?
Taxes, duties, and import fees collected by customs or the delivery carrier are not our responsibility and are not refunded by us. These charges are set by your local authorities and may be non-refundable.
RETURN & EXCHANGE
What should I know about Monies return policy?
You must return items within 30 days of receiving your order. Please ensure all pieces are unused and in their original condition, with all tags attached and box packaging intact.
Is there a fee for returning an order?
A return fee of 15 EUR (EU returns) or 20 EUR (Non-EU returns) will be deducted from your refund.
How do I initiate a return to receive a return label?
To return your order contact info@monies.com. All returns must be registered with Monies before you ship anything back. We handle all returns and will email you a shipping label on request. Please ensure that you include order number and the email address used at the time of purchase in your return request e-mail.
When do I receive my refund?
Once your return has been received and processed by our studio, the refund will be issued within 3–5 business days, depending on your bank or the payment method used at checkout.
The refund will be issued to the same account that you used for placing the order.
Can I return an online order at our boutiques or studio?
Returns are not accepted at our boutiques or retailers.
Online orders can be personally returned to the Monies studio in Copenhagen within 30 days of delivery. Items must be in original condition with all packaging and tags attached.
Can I exchange online orders?
We do not offer direct exchanges currently. To exchange an item, please return it for a refund and place a new order.
SIZING & STOCK
How can I check the size and fit details of an item?
Size details are available on our website on the product page description and further select "Size guide", to view detailed measurements of the piece. If in doubt of size, weight or fit contact info@monies.com and we can help with further photos or online showing.
What should I do if an item is out of stock?
Select "Notify Me When Available" on the product page and enter your contact details to receive an email as soon as the item is back in stock.
STUDIO & PRIVATE APPOINTMENTS
Do you accept walk-ins?
Yes, we accept walk-ins, but we can’t guarantee our Jewellery team is available without prior approved appointments.
How do I make an appointment?
Please contact our team directly on phone, e-mail or WhatsApp. Our private appointments are available on weekdays from 9am-4pm CET.
PRODUCT
Are your pieces nickel-free?
Yes, our designs are made without nickel. Contact us for specific sensitivities.
How heavy are our pieces?
Our designs are conceived as wearable art. Many are intentionally substantial, especially statement gemstone necklaces. Each necklace distribute weight across the shoulders and collarbones, and ear clips to support the earlobes. The exact weight is listed on the product page. If a piece doesn’t feel right, you’re welcome to return it within our standard return window. Comfort is personal.
I’m sensitive to weight, what should I choose?
Select smaller styles or materials like wood/horn/amber/acrylic and check the gram weight on the product page.
What does “one-of-a-kind” mean?
A singular, unique piece handcrafted in our studio from natural materials with its own style number (U1/U2/U3/U4/U6).
Does pieces come with a certificate?
Yes, our one-of-a-kind jewellery includes a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
Are stud earrings available?
Yes, selected smaller styles come with sterling silver studs. Most Monies earrings are designed with ear clips due to weight/size, so not all models are suitable for ear pins.

Can you convert ear clips designs to studs?
Some styles can be made with sterling silver studs or pin/clip combos for a fee on request. Please contact info@monies.com prior to ordering and include the style no. in your request.
Will metallic foils change over time?
All our metallic foils can develop a soft patina naturally if worn often.
Do natural materials vary?
Yes. Color, grain, and texture vary by nature. Each piece is handmade and small production variations will ouccur on collection pieces.
REPAIR & WARRANTY
What is your warranty?
2 years from delivery against manufacturing defects. Misuse/accidents not covered.
Where do you repair Monies jewellery?
Only at our Copenhagen studio where our artisans handle repairs.
What covers the One-of-a-kind lifetime warranty (U1/U2/U3/U4/U6)?
Free repair for normal wear, rethreading and minor fixes. Accidental damage isn’t covered.
How do I request a repair/warranty?
Email info@monies.com with order no./receipt/certificate, photos + description, and return address + phone. Wait for customer team to reply with instructions.
Can I bring a repair to your boutiques or studio?
Yes, you can drop off your repairs at Paris, Milan or our Copenhagen studio.
COMPANY
How do you pronounce “Monies”?
MON YES two syllables (MON like “Monday”, YES like the word). It’s our founders’ family name. Common misreadings e.g. “mo nees”, “moneyz” occur, but MON YES is correct.
When was Monies founded?
1973 in Copenhagen by Nikolai and Gerda Monies. We celebrated 50-years anniversary in 2023.
Who leads Monies today?
Karl Monies, son of founders Gerda and Nikolai, leads the house as Creative Director, channeling a material-first vision and deep respect for the natural world into our collections and one-of-a-kind pieces.
GIFT CARDS
Where can I buy a gift card?
Our boutiques in Paris and Milan offer gift cards. The gift cards can only be used in the boutiques and not online. We do not offer gift cards online.
